تناولت الدراسة موضوع "الجوانب المناخية في الفكر الجغرافي العربي والإسلامي حتى القرن الخامس الهجري (القرن الحادي عشر الميلادي)". الذي يعد من الموضوعات المهمة التي تثير اهتمام العديد من الجغرافيين، وينصب الحديث عنه في أسمى معانيه على الوجود المادي الذي يحيط بنا ودراسة كل شيء من حولنا نلمسه أو نحس به أو يؤثر في كياننا وفي وجودنا بطريقة مباشرة أو غير مباشرة.

    ترمي هذه الدراسة إلى إبراز المستوى العلمي الجغرافي الموضوعي والشامل للحقائق الثابتة المبنية على أسس علمية والتعريف بـ(الجانب المناخي ) وإبراز المستوى العلمي والعملي الذي كانت عليه أمة العرب وذلك من خلال تعاملها مع حقائق المناخ (نظرية وتطبيقا).

    جاءت هذه الدراسة في ثلاثة فصول فضلاً عن المقدمة ،فقد تضمن الفصل الأول دراسة الظواهر الطبيعية في الفكر الجغرافي العربي والإسلامي من الناحية الجيولوجية والجيمورفولوجية والحقل ألمناخي والموارد المائية فضلا"عن النبات الطبيعي والتربة.  بينما عالج الفصل الثاني عناصر المناخ بكل تفاصيله ضمن تلك الحقبة. أما الفصل الثالث فقد تضمن مقارنة بين الجوانب المناخية قديماً وحديثاً. وفي نهاية الدراسة كانت الخاتمة فضلاً عن الاستنتاجات والتوصيات.

Abstract

       This study  deals  with the  climatic aspects  in geographical  Islamic and Arabic  thinking  until the fifth century (A.H)(the eleventh century A.D).which is regarded as one of the the most important subjects  which arises the attention  of the great  deal of the  geographicals.We specialized  the speech  about  the fruitful  meanings  of the existence  of  concrete  which surrounding us and the study of every thing  around  us which we can  touch and feel  or  affect our  entities in our existence in adirect or indirect way.

      This study aims to show the objective  geographical an  scientific level and a full contemplation  in the flexible  truths which based  on a scientific principles and acknowledging the climatic aspects and show  the scientific  and practical  standard  which was the conditions of  the  Arab nation  through  its dealing  with  the truths  of  the  climate  by (theory  and  practice).

    This study  came  to be in four  chapters ,in addition  to  an introduction. the  first  chapter includes  the study of the natural  phenomenon in the Islamic  and geographical Arabic thinking  from  the  geomorphological  and geological  side  and  the climatical  field,  water  resources , in   addition  to   the   natural   plant  and soil .while  the  second chapter delt  with  the  climatic  elements  with  all  its  details  in  that period. the  third  chapter included  a comparison  between  the climatic  aspects  in the  (past and  present). the  third  chapter  included  the  conclusions  and  recommendations.
