المستخلص:
اهتم هذا البحث بدراسة التوزيع المكاني لفنادق مدينة جدة، والتي تحتل مكانة مهمة بالنسبة لقطاعها الفندقي على مستوى المملكة. ولقد قام الباحث بتقسيم مدينة جدة إلى خمس نطاقات جغرافية وفق أنموذج (Model) يتماشى واتجاهات النمو العمراني للمدينة. إن دراسة توزيع الفنادق على النطاقات الجغرافية الخمس تم بناءً على اختيار أربعة معايير رئيسة تشمل العدد، تاريخ الافتتاح، الدرجة والحجم، وذلك لمعرفة طبيعة الاختلافات المكانية لكل منها.
وبدراسة تباين التوزيع المكاني وفقًا لأنموذج الأنماط المكانية فقد توصلت الدراسة إلى أن منطقة الأعمال المركزية جاءت في المرتبة الأولى من حيث إجمالي عدد الفنادق، كما تعتبر الفترة الزمنية الممتدة من عام 1401-1415هـ الانطلاقة الحقيقية لانتشار الفنادق بمدينة جدة. كما وأن الفنادق الكبيرة والضخمة تتوزع بعيدًا عن منطقة الأعمال المركزية، والتي تعتبر منطقة تركز للفنادق الصغيرة. ومن حيث الدرجة فإن الدراسة أوضحت أن وظيفة المكان لعبت دورًا فاعلًا في التوزيع، ففنادق الدرجة الممتازة تركزت في المواقع الجميلة (الكورنيش) والانتقالية فيما ظل نطاق المنطقة المركزية منطقة تركز الفنادق الأقل درجة. ولقد كان من نتائج تحليل هذا الأنموذج أن توصلت الدراسة إلى وضع معايير تم بموجبها تحديد ما يعرف باسم منطقة "الفنادق المركزية Central Hotel District " C.H.D".
The Spatial Distribution Patterns of Hotels in Jeddah A Study in Tourism Geography

Abstact:
This research interested to study the spatial distribution patterns of the hotels in Jeddah city, which occupies an advanced place in the hotel sector in the Kingdom. The researcher divided Jeddah city into five zones according to a geographical model coincides with the general trends of urban growth of the city. In order, to study hotels distribution based on this model, four major parameters were considered such as hotels number, date of opening, grade, and size (Accommodation capacity) of hotels, to identify the nature of spatial differences for each zone.
By studying the spatial distribution patterns in accordance with the spatial patterns model, the study found that the Central Business District (CBD) came first in terms of total number of hotels, and the time period from 1401-1415 H. formed a real breakthrough for the spread of hotels in Jeddah. Moreover, Huge hotels and large ones distributed away from the CBD, where small hotels, in terms of grade, intense in the CBD area. The study indicated that the function of the place played an active role in the hotels distribution, the luxury fivestars hotels intense in the nice and transitional areas, while the CBD stay as a zone of small hotels location. By analysis reaches of the study some parameters were established, to define an area called “The Central Hotels District”.
