تبلغ مساحة مدينة الدجيل (18)كم2وتقع ضمن الحدود الإدارية لمحافظة صلاح الدين في الجزء الجنوبي من المحافظة حيث تقع منطقة الدراسة بين دائرتي عرض34.10 ْ - 33.50 ْ شمالا وخطي طول (44.33ْ - 0‚44 ْ ) شرقا وإن منطقة الدراسة تقع شمال مدينة بغداد بمسافة تقدر (60) كم وتبعد عن مركز محافظة صلاح الدين بمسافة تقدر بـ (93) كم وهي تقع على الطريق الرئيسي الذي يربط بغداد العاصمة بالمدن الشمالية، أراضيها منبسطة يتخللها طقس صحراوي حار وفقا لتصنيف كوبن (B . W ) وتربة طينية كترب حواف أو أكتاف الأنهر مصدر مياه المدينة هو نهر دجلة والذي يأتيها عن طريق نهر الاسحاقي الذي يوصل المياه إلى منطقة الدراسة وتستخدم مياه هذا النهر للشرب ولري الأراضي الزراعية إن السكان في مدينة الدجيل قد تطوروا وازداد عدد السكان بمرور الزمن حتى وصل تعدادهم إلى (32) ألف نسمة عام
The Spatial Distribution for the Urban Land in Al- Dejel Center
Abstract
Al Dijel city is located within the administrative borders of Salah Al-Din governorate. It is situated in the southern part of the governorate , where the study is located between the two lines of the latitude 34.10° -33.50° to the Norte and the two lines of longitude (44.0°-44.20°) to the East.
The location of the study is situated in the North of Baghdad with a distance estimated with (60) K.M. it is far from the center of Salah Al Din Governorate by about (93) Km. It is situated on the main road connecting the capital with the northern cities. Its lands are plane, its climate is deserted and hot according to the classification of Kopen (B.W), and with clayey sand like the sands of river banks or shoulders.
The sources of water for the city are Tigris River which is considered as the source of river water of Al Ishaky River which reaches to the location of the study. The waters of the river are used for drinking and for irrigating the cultivable lands.
The inhabitants of Al Dejel city have developed and the number of its inhabitants have increased with the passage of time till that its number has reached to (32) thousands inhabitants on 2000. The increase of the population is due to the immigration occurred in the last years. Most of the immigrated people are from the southern governorates as the region has a rural aspect.
The benefits and the utilization of the land of Al Dejel city have been divided to housing, commercial and industrial regions, as well as its services. The commercial facilities have also been divided to central regions situated in the center as well as on the main roads. Also there are commercial regions which are far from the city center.
While the industrial facilities are divided to industries situated on the main roads as well as industries situated on the central regions, in addition to that, there are industrial facilities situated on the suburbs.
While the services are divided on all the housing districts, and the general (main and secondary) streets, while the educative services, they are situated very near of the main regions as well as the regions recently built.
Regarding the medical services, there is the Al Dejel general hospital situated in the city center. It provides the services to all the inhabitants of the city, and its region. Also there is Al Hussein hospital, recently opened which is considered to be one of the modern hospitals in Al Dejel city, and there is a center for medical curing, situated in Al Salam District. The services disappear gradually when we approach to the suburbs.
While the coffees, the restaurants, the hotels, they are managed by the streets with the industrial and commercial uses, besides, there are religious and traditional services in Al Dejel city.
