المستخلص
منطقة الدراسة ذات أهمية لمحافظة المثنى، كونها تشكل السلة الغذائية للمحافظة، فضلاً عن أنها تضم أراض واسعة ومتنوعة من حيث تربتها، وهذا ما يستوجب الدراسة والتحليل . لذلك كان هدف الدراسة تقييم واقع زراعة المحاصيل الزراعية في منطقة الدراسة وتحديد أفضل الأماكن لزراعتها عن طريق توظيف تقنيات نظم المعلومات الجغرافية GIS لإجراء الدراسة والتحليل . وقد تم إعداد خرائط رقمية للخصائص الجغرافية، فضلاً عن جمع البيانات الوصفية (الكمية والنوعية) لغرض بناء قاعدة معلومات جغرافية. وإعداد خرائط استعمالات الأرض الزراعية لمنطقة الدراسة، وبعد إجراء التحليل المكاني Spataial Analysis تم التوصل إلى إعداد خرائط الملائمة المكانية. وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى جملة استنتاجات تمثلت بإمكانية وقدرة برامجيات نظم المعلومات الجغرافية GIS على إجراء عمليات الملائمة المكانية وإنتاج الخرائط الموضوعية وبما يتلائم وهدف الدراسة. كما توصي الدراسة باستخدام نظم المعلومات الجغرافية GIS في اختيار الأراضي المناسبة لزراعة المحاصيل وبما يتلائم ومتطلباتها.

ABSTRACT
The study area is of great importance to the AL - Muthanna province, as the food basket, as well as they include a wide variety of land where soil, which requires study and analysis, the objective of the study was to assess agricultural crops in the study area and select the best sites for planting by employing GIS techniques for study and analysis, as prepared digital maps of soil and climatic characteristics , As well as descriptive data collection (quantitative and qualitative) for the purpose of building geographic information database. As agricultural land use mapping, spatial analysis, after the appropriate spatial mapping. Among the conclusions of the study was the possibility of GIS software to conduct appropriate spatial and thematic map production in line with the objective of the study. The study also recommends the use of geographic information systems in the selection of suitable land for cropping to suit their requirements.
